This purely amazing waterfall is 16 times the height of Niagara Falls the other of Venezuela’s and South America’s best natural touristic places.

Angel Falls is located in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela.  Angel falls is situated to the side of the largest with the Venezuela’s tepuis generally known as Auyan-tepui.The land is covered with grasslands, with many dense jungle along the path of the rivers and at the foot of the numerous tepuis, or flat-topped mountains.

Angel Falls is deep from the Park. When first entering the park (at the airport in Canaima) you must give the park entrance fee of BsF. 35 (US$ 4). Visitor flying over to Canaima Park must prove they’ve received a yellow fever vaccination. People who cannot prove this can be in the vaccination inside the airport at Ciudad Bolivar.

There’s an incredible selection of tropical wildlife in the area, including monkeys, poison arrow frogs and a huge selection of types of orchids. Aside from the monkeys, mammals in the region are often hard to spot but include giant anteaters, armadillos, porcupines, three-toed sloths, otters, jaguars, pumas, tapirs and capybaras.

Every traveller should see this miracle waterfall. While Angel Falls was the main attraction you will be fell in love, I will have a great time in Canaima Lagoon. More than Angel falls you can see in the area, the table mountains (tepuis) are amazing. You need to plan your visit according to the several attractions and places to see. This mean you need more than one or two days to discover the whole area and beauties. There are a lot of gorgeous waterfalls, you can visit and then swim under, and all of which have interestting reddish water due to the mineral content.

To be advised that having fun at your experience at Angel Falls will depend on the weather conditions. If the weather is raing this means you may not see full beauty because of the clouds and fos and may not be able to swim at waterfalls.

Mostly, April is the end of the dry season so there is a risk of the water levels being under averages, you may need to carry your boat. You can take a fantastic view hike and spent your night with a rest in hammocks and awoke to a beautiful view of Salto Angel. Be aware you need to spent several hours to reach to see this miracle view point, by canoes (four hours), walking in the jungles. You can see Macaws and monkeys everywhere. In the drier days most of the water evaporates before falling the ground.

The water drops from the top of Auyantepui, from the height of 979 meters. The Angel Falls is 150 meter wide at its base.

You will feel small waterdrops at a distance of nearly a kilometer. Angel Falls also called Tuluma Bena or Kerepakupai meru by indians.

It is more than ten times taller than South America’s most famous waterfalls, the Iguazu Falls

Angel Falls was discovered by mistake (what a big luck) by aviator Jimmy Angels by his plane (can be visited at the Aviation Museum in Maracay) is crashed thereb.  Unlike many other natural wonders of the world, Angel Falls was discovered only in the 20th century. In 1935 he first spotted the site and then in 1937 he landed on top of it with his wife after crashing on Auyantepui, Jimmy Angels and his wife had to take a long walk out in the jungle. This took in 12 days!
